  1. Preheat oven to 350 F and get a rack set in the middle.
  2. Butter both sides of bread slices and tear into bite sized pieces.
  3. Toss with the peaches and place in a greased 8″ square baking dish.
  4. Whisk together the milk, sugar, cream, eggs and vanilla until smooth, then pour this over the bread mixture, gently pressing where needed to soak. Let stand for 5 minutes.
  5. Bake at 350 F for 50 – 60 minutes, until golden, puffed and custard is set.
  6. Let cool for 10 minutes and dust with icing sugar before serving.
Recipe Notes

Any type of day old bread will do.  Buns, hot dog buns, etc… Don’t cut your peach slices too small – you want the chunks.  Add cinnamon if desired.
