Ingredients
- 1 pound salted butter
- 1/2 cup corn starch
- 1 cup icing sugar packed
- 3 cups flour
- 15 whole marishino cherries cut in quarters

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
- In a medium mixing bowl, cream butter and then add sugar.
- Mix corn starch and 2 cups of flour together.
- Mix this with the wet ingredients and beat until like whipped cream.
- Add remaining flour by hand.
- Roll into balls (25 g), press with a fork onto ungreased cookie sheets, and press a 1/4 cherry into the center of each.
- Cook 8 - 10 minutes - until bottoms are very light brown.
Recipe Notes
A classic Christmas treat. Cookies must be removed at just the right time, which depends upon your oven. Just a light browing on the bottom is what you are after.
