The cost of a pair of flip-flops…
Isn’t cheap. Two dollar sandals costs you $1.75 for the first box of band-aids that slide off after 300 ft, the pain of locating another box for $5.50 (ooh), and finally a new pair of shews for 6 buks, thus solving the problem.
Plastic straps and humidity don’t go together.
Conclusion:
2$ flip-flops cost ya $13.25 (x1.25 exchange).
ooh, the tan lines…. lol
Electrical work has not improved lately. Always a laugh.
The price of taxis sure has gone up in the past 6 years! What used to be a 3 dollar ride to Albrook Mall now is 5, and the return is now 8. Granted, I’m further away than I used to be when I was staying here.
I was getting honked at every 3 minutes, it was great. Turns out the taxis use their horn as a signal switch, brake and gas pedal lol
All the places I know are in relation to that hotel, so finding it was first on the list. lots n lots of walking
From there, the band-aid chase began. Then down to the oceanfront to see it in the daylight, followed by the trip to the mall to check the bus schedules.
This is the typical owner operated bus in Panama City. They sure love their buses. Most of them have chrome smokestack exhaust out the back that is as loud as a Who concert.
Busses leave hourly for David from Albrook terminal, starting at 5:30 AM, and tickets are purchased the day of travel. Something like 26 buks for the two of us, but you can’t hear much with all that’s going on around you and a tiny little slit to hear the teller through.
Albrook Mall is HUGE.
You don’t think it is as you walk in the door, but it is, and goes on forever. TWo massive food courts, with every fast food imaginable, and evey little box story you have ever seen. This is Panamas West Edmonton Mall.
Dad, this one is for you. Not only do they hang bling from their rearview mirrors, this cab had music videos playing!! It was a good giggle.
