Another day under the hood, under the dash, under the car. Lots ticked off the list. Pepo, the owners employee, took me around to a few places and played interpreter for me. I know enought Spanish to get by, but c’mon… that’s just the easy way to do it.
I came away with a new alternator belt and a nut ($4.30) to get rid of the wire job holding it in place. Some stores were open, most stores were closed, so anything we “got” was a bonus.
Replaced wipers, buffed up the valve covers, removed back seat for cleaning, and tried to pop out the new dent (fail), finally rolled it around some to bring up the front end so I can work on the brake line tomorrow.
That’s the plan. Can you hear the guy upstairs laughing?
Both of us know it won’t turn out like that…
A little higher in the front.
New belt and bolt and a bit of bling. Nahhh, just buffed it up with steel wool and oil.
Other side of things. Just looking a little better is all. Try to find a new grommet for the PVC valve here. Bahahahaha!
