It took a long time to figure this out... thassa foo sho...
Basic knowledge...
Creating reverse proxys for all the services/apps on the NAS lets you keep all traffic going through a single port of the NAS, which is more secure.
The domain you get from synology is the only one that you can put into the root of the /web folder. That is the default server which you can't change.
Never mind the Wordpress package form synology - its' old, out of date... and just doesn't seem to work for me.
Neither do the web portals to phpmyadmin or whatever... no biggie.
Other websites go in their individual folders within the /web folder, and then you follow the instructions below to point the domain/sub-domain to that folder.

https://www.reddit.com/r/synology/comme ... _websites/

For sitea@mydomain.com

First up you need to create the directory for sitea under the web folder using file manager

next create a reverse proxy under Control Panel -> Login Portal -> Advanced

make it https for hostname sitea.mydomain.com on port 443 enable hsts and for the destination set https on localhost on port 9443

Next open Web Station -> Web Service and create a static website give it a name and set the document root to be the web/sitea directory created before

Next open Web Portal and create a web servce portal selecting sitea in the drop down

Chane from name based to port based seclect https and enter 9443 as the port and tick hsts

Geet a certificate for sitea.mydomain.com Security -> certificates and link it under settings and you should be good to go
